Jim and Judie,
I’ve just found a few very short videos of Scott flying the Bell 206, if you’d like to have them please forward me your mailing address or contact information and I’ll see they get to you.

Jim and Judie: We knew Scott through both SMU and Saanich lacrosse. We just learned of Scott’s passing. We are so very sorry for your loss. It’s impossible to know just what you’re going through, but we wish you strength and peace to help you through it. Scott will be remembered as a really nice guy.
My nephew, my first sister’s son, we loved you the minute you were born, you were like our own . We watched you grow , you were so fine. Evan and I stayed with you when your parents worked and laughed so much….your mom was on nights when you would climb out of your crib and clamber into the family bed and stick like a magnet to me….. your told me your name was “scoppy”, “scoppy stone” and you were so fine…. You know I loved you my boy, and I am so so lucky that you loved me too.
You will never be gone to me, but here, buzzing my house as you trained in helicopters, or sassing me back and so damn fine. Handsome and kind , and so brave and strong. You meant so much to many and I am honoured to be your auntie. I love you boy! Jill
Jim and Judie – the last time I saw you Jim, was days before you were heading to Africa to see Scott. You were beaming with pride talking about your son! I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My heart breaks for you both. Please know I am thinking about you and your family.

Judie, Jim, Mac and Cam,
We are holding you in our hearts; deeply sorry for your loss.
Jude and I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences at this very sad time.
There really are no words to say at this sad time. Kenzie and Scott were good friends and now they are together, Remember you are in our prayers and our thoughts. We never met Scott, we just talked on the phone and he always stayed in touch with us and our daughters. He sounds like a wonderful son and person. Our hearts are broken for you all, and we feel your pain. God Bless you all on this journey. But with family and good friends you will go through it, and they will be your support. Remember Scott is with you always. Treasure every memory. Scott had an awesome friend meeting him in Heaven. We will never forget him. The Beaton’s.
Dear Judie, Jim, Mac and Cam,
I am so sad for all of you over Scott’s sudden death. I can only imagine how deeply unbearable it must be for you. I see him still as that sunny, joyful young boy with huge enthusiasm for all things athletic, that magnetic personality which drew pals in droves, that loving brother and son.
My thoughts are with all of you as you struggle with this great sadness.
Affectionately,
Sally
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds – and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of – wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue’
I’ve topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew-
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
In Loving Memory of Scott, nephew, friend and fellow aviator.
The service was both beautiful and heartbreaking. I learned a little more about the special person Scott was that day. He was a great friend to all his “boys” and I know they loved him tremendously. He will be remembered always by those who knew and loved him. You are in our thoughts…..
