Rockie passed away on Thursday, January 10th at the Richmond Pavillion in Victoria. Predeceased by his parents, Bert Frederick Lowe in 1993; Lois Louis Lowe (nee Elves) and his sister, Lanie Louise Lowe in 2006. Survived by his wife, Liz Lowe (nee Eckman); his three children, Don Eckman (Sean Eckman-Dempster), Tyrai, and Gabe; his granddaughter, Emily Fleming; his sister, Pennie Young; his nephew, Jonathon; and niece Caissa, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in BC, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Royal Jubilee CCU and the Victoria Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at McCALL BROS., Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Wednesday, January 16th at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Victoria Hospice are greatly appreciated. “Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.”

Sad to see you go, but know that your are at peace and still in everyones heart.
With the memorial on my birthday now every year in passing i celabrate I will also be celebrating the years and memories of such a wonderful man.

With heaven welcoming its newest Angel, Rocky leaves behind some warm hearts, smiles on everyone’s faces and a legacy of good humor and dedication to those who touched in life in so many ways.
The gentle giant with such a big heart and a kind soul that he shared with those around him and sacrificed so much for the benefit of others will be missed.
For we say not … goodbye but until we meet again, sleep tight my friend and your spirit will live on in those you have graced with your presence.

Rockie you gave us all a reason to slow down and enjoy life, you never let anything bother you. You will be missed by all those lives you touch. You have taught me lots and may me appreciate more. Thank You, rest in peace my friend.
The biggest heart of any man I knew… the world is a smaller place with you not in it… I’m truly going to miss you and miss how you affected others… sleep well, until we all meet again in paradise… I will talk to you often in my prayers my friend.
