Born in Alsask, Saskatchewan August 5, 1919 and died peacefully in the early afternoon on March 19th at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. Predeceased by his wife Anne and brother Robert Bruce, both in 1994, Roger is survived by his sisters Margaret (Cunningham) and Doris; children Robert, Margaret, Tom, and Douglas; grandchildren Tom and Emily; and many nieces and nephews. Roger was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Neil Crofton for looking after Dad so thoughtfully and so well for over 20 years, and to the doctors, nurses and caregivers of VIHA and the RJH for their exemplary professionalism and kindness during his final illnesses.
