December 15, 1934 – January 16, 2013

We regretfully announce that Ron has set sail on his last cruise. Predeceased by his youngest son Ronnie; Pat (mother of his children); his sisters Lorraine, Shirley and Ruthie, and granddaughter Jessica. He is survived by his sister Joyce; sons Ralph (Colleen), Bruce; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Ron also leaves his loving wife of 26 years Donna-Mae, and her children Terry (Roberta), Darlene (Don), Rob (Julie); 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Born in Winnipeg, Ron was the youngest of 5 children. His career was in the Navy where as a Bosun, he sailed the seas for 22 years. The second half of his career saw him at Dockyard for 23 years as a rigger making many lasting friendships before retiring in March, 1997. Ron was a member of the FOE No. 12, Legion 172, CPO Mess & Assn. He also enjoyed membership with Legions 172 & 192, Seniors Travel Groups, and the Gorge Vale Golf Club. Endeared and forever remembered by his close friends and family as a fun-loving, kind and gentle man that enjoyed life and his cherished dog Cody.
