It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Crevatin, who passed away on March 6, 2026.
Born on December 18, 1936 in Italy, Roy carried throughout his life the values of hard work, family, and perseverance. He was a skilled floor layer and developer, known for his craftsmanship. Those who knew him admired his ability to build with care and precision.
Outside of work, many of his happiest moments were spent in nature. Roy loved camping with the gang, walks along the Galloping Goose, hunting, fishing and picking mushrooms. At home, he especially enjoyed working in the garden alongside his beloved wife, Amanda, bird watching, sharing quiet moments tending to their plants and enjoying the fruits of their labour together.
Roy leaves behind his loving wife, Amanda, of 65 years, his son Tony and daughter Gina, and his cherished grandchildren Sandra (Robby), Steven (Ashley), Nicole (Gerald), Anna, and David. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Avery, Jordyn, Ryleigh, and Jade.
He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather whose strength and wisdom shaped the lives of those around him. His legacy will live on.
Roy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

It was a pleasure to run into Roy and Amanda often on the Galloping Goose Trail. We would share a few memories and catch up on the latest with each other. He was a treasure and will be sorely missed.

Renee Bacica Amanda and Family !
Amanda please accept my deepest heartfelt condolences, I often think about Roy and you, as we bumped into each other at the swap shop. Roy and Paul always had a lot to say about fishing and the two of us waited patently. Peter and I came to your house and picked up the fish that Roy kindly gave me for Paul.
I have not seen you or Roy in the past 7 years, but I have never forgotten your hospitality, or Roy’s generosity, his jokes and smiles. Thanks for everything Roy!!

Hugz,
Kim

What a fine man Roy was. Straightforward. And talented. And generous. An excellent gardener, wine maker and fisherman. He inspired us to try a little bit harder but also shared his garden produce, wine and fish, so we didn’t have to! My thoughts are with you, Amanda and your family. Life will be a bit blander without Roy. I already miss the sight of him on the Galloping Goose trail.
