Dear Fiona, Gavin and Sheena, my heart has felt a profound sadness since hearing the loss of your dear Mum. Mrs. R was like a second mum to me growing up. The last time I saw her, we had such a nice chat. I regret not seeing her one last time as this was something I wanted to do. My mind is full of memories of the R’s and the O’s. I hope our parents are all together and enjoying a reunion and continuing with a friendship that lasted throughout our entire growing up. From California adventures, Bridge nights, Easter getaways, Burn’s nights and Boxing Day family days, our families shared so much. We are all so lucky! I will miss you always Mrs. R. Sending love to each of you and all your families, Love and sincere condolences, Margaret. (PS. please give mum and dad, John and especially Mr. R. a hug from me). xoxo

    Fiona, Gavin, Sheena and families,
I was so sad to hear about the loss of your very special mother. I will remember her gentle lilting voice, her quiet humour, and her active lifestyle well into her 80s. I was always a little in awe of the deep, involved, loving relationship she had with her children, which inevitably makes losing her all the more profound. I wish you support and comfort as you navigate through this very sad time.

On behalf of my sister, Wilma and myself, we send our sincere condolences to your family on the recent loss of Rosemunde. On the couple of occasions I visited Victoria, both Rosemunde and Lyle were most gracious hosts and left us with many happy memories of spending time in their company. Our continued correspondence was much appreciated and I will miss those family e-epistles.
With much love to you all.

Such a wonderful lady. She was very generous, always listened in her quiet , calm way. She shared her shortbread at Christmas, beautifully packaged in rounds. I remember mum and I used to savour each piece and hide the rest in the shortbread jar. Loved being around Mrs. Robertson because she treated us so well. Plus, she made a mean Tuna Casserole!
Thinking of all of you at this time. Much love to you……..M
