Passed away in Victoria with his family by his side on May 10, 2011. He was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on July 29, 1922. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy; daughter Loraine Wake (Garry); sons Barry (Maria Taylor) and Brent (Kimberly Taylor); grandchildren Niki (Graham), Lisa (Don), Bev, John, Jason (Shelly), Elaine (Dale) and Aaron (Lisa); great grandchildren Justin, Wade, Trista, Tyce, Mylie, Kenzie, Caitlyn, Jessie, Mariah, Talea, Hailey, Mateo and Cohen and extended family and friends.

Roy was an RCAF Navigator during WWII. He worked in retail ladies fashion and was the founder of Taylor’s Apparel Ltd. in Victoria. He was an avid gardener and a dedicated member of Christ the King Church.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Church Of The Nazarene, 4277 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 6V5. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
