January 5, 1962 – November 22, 2012

Roy passed away suddenly in Victoria at his residence at the age of 50. He is survived by his mother, Freda; his sister, Maureen (Jim) Lambier; nieces, Danielle and Justine; nephew, Joshua; all of Dundas, Ontario. He is also survived by his loving dog, Teiko and his roommate, Huddy Huddy of Victoria. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Roy was raised in Penetanguishene, Ontario and moved to Victoria in the early 1990’s. He loved working with boats and spending time on the water with friends. He loved all animals and volunteered regularly at the SPCA. Roy was a private person, but those who were a part of his life were truly blessed to have known him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Streets with a reception to follow at Roy’s home. Donations to the SPCA kindly appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

We were surprised to see that Roy passed away a few years ago. My wife used to go over to hang out with Roy and Greg way back when, and show them gardening skills. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Roy was a student in my math classes at PSS. Recently I was reminiscing about some of the students who made my classes more interesting and enjoyable. My mood was darkened when one of my colleagues informed me about his untimely death. The world lost a special person and I’m sure that his family and friends will miss him greatly.
My condolences to Maureen “Moe”, her mother and all those close to him.

I’ll always remember Roy’s friendship and generosity. My deepest sympathies to his mom Freda, sister Maureen and everyone who was so lucky to have known Roy. Rest Peacefully Fergie!
