January 5, 1962 – November 22, 2012
Roy passed away suddenly in Victoria at his residence at the age of 50. He is survived by his mother, Freda; his sister, Maureen (Jim) Lambier; nieces, Danielle and Justine; nephew, Joshua; all of Dundas, Ontario. He is also survived by his loving dog, Teiko and his roommate, Huddy Huddy of Victoria. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Roy was raised in Penetanguishene, Ontario and moved to Victoria in the early 1990’s. He loved working with boats and spending time on the water with friends. He loved all animals and volunteered regularly at the SPCA. Roy was a private person, but those who were a part of his life were truly blessed to have known him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Streets with a reception to follow at Roy’s home. Donations to the SPCA kindly appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Sad to hear about Fergie, played hockey with him in penetang, Lived just up island but never knew it as we lost contact years ago RIP
Roy was a student in my math classes at PSS. Recently I was reminiscing about some of the students who made my classes more interesting and enjoyable. My mood was darkened when one of my colleagues informed me about his untimely death. The world lost a special person and I’m sure that his family and friends will miss him greatly.
My condolences to Maureen “Moe”, her mother and all those close to him.
Dear Mrs. Ferguson and Maureen,
I have good memories of Roy from Burkevale. I am so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely
Alison
Maureen, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. If I can help you in any way let me know. Take time to heal. Thinking of you.
Dear Maureen & Mrs. Ferguson…I was saddened to hear of Roy’s passing…I remember Roy as being the typical big brother, always teasing his sister and her friends, but a fun loving person none the less. My condolences to all of you at this sad time.
I was saddened to read of the passing of Roy Fergusson. I had little Roy on our Legion track team in Penetang in the early ’70’s and enjoyed his enthusiasm and work ethics as a middle distance runner. My condolences to his family.

fergie although i havent talked to you in years we had some good times ill never forget. my condolences to your mom and sister
My sincere sympathy Maureen for your loss.
Roy was a good friend and was always fun to be around back in Penetanguishene. I moved out to Vancouver Island a few years after Roy and he would always find time to hang out with me when I went to Victoria and dropped in to see him. I’ll always remember Roy’s friendship and generosity. My deepest sympathies to his mom Freda, sister Maureen and everyone who was so lucky to have known Roy. Rest Peacefully Fergie!
