Roy was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Lorraine Lucille Harrington, in March 2017.

I’m on the sea! I’m on the sea!

I am where I would ever be;

With the blue above, and the blue below,

And silence wheresoe’er I go;

If a storm should come and awake the deep,

What matter? I shall ride and sleep.

       The Sea, Barry Cornwall

    Roy & Lorraine were our neighbors, and I always loved our chats. The hill is different without you.

    Family Harrington:
    Sincere condolences from us on the departure of your parents. We were not aware Lorraine died just 15 months ago! What a wonderful and appropriate departure sonnet for Roy. Our friendship began and continued with life at the Oak Bay Marina. Unfortunately, after Roy’s tragic fall, it ended. We hope life will be easier for you now despite this loss. Graham & Dorothy Robe

    I’m sad to hear about Roy’s passing. I loved chatting with him down at the marina in the days when he used to sail. Most days he could be coaxed into telling the most interesting stories; I wish I could remember them. My thoughts are with Ross and his family.

    Sorry to read about the loss of your father Ross, and to find out that your mother passed last year. I hope you find fond memories to ease this painful time. Would love to catch up with you some time, as it has been many years.

  • David Bruce

    A truly fine and gentle man in every sense… I was honoured to make your acquaintance and enjoyed our many chats and conversations.You epitomized the joy of a pleasant day on the water… rest my friend…
