(October 11, 1966-May 16, 2011)

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Scott Butterfield, at home on May 16, 2011. Scott was predeceased by this father Gerald (Skip) Butterfield. He is survived by his loving wife Nicole, daughter Devon, mother Jeannie, great grandma Joan, his brother Craig (Elise), Uncle Don, and son’s Scott and Rob, as well as countless relatives and close friends.

Scott started his career in commercial fishing with his father Skip and then went on to a long career in real estate.

Scott loved the water, his family and music (playing guitar for most of his life). He spent his recreational time enjoying the wonders of the west coast with his family. Scott’s sense of humour and love for life was contagious, always the joker and the life of the party.

Special thanks to Uncle Don Amos and nephew Rob for all their support on the tragic day and after.

Celebration of life to be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, Victoria BC on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the McCall’s Family Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Butterfield Family Trust, at Coast Capital Savings at Admirals Walk, 1499 Admirals Road, Victoria, BC V9A 2P8

Nicole: I was very saddened to learn of your husband’s passing. It immediately brought to mind the tragic loss of your mum so many years ago. You have suffered greatly and unfairly and I am sure no words can possibly comfort you at this time, even from others who have also lost loved ones long before their time. My thoughts are with you and your family.

    God Bless!
