December 19, 1980 – June 27, 2013

With profound sadness Sean was tragically taken from us in a workplace accident, leaving behind the loves of his life, Sasha and his four-month-old son, Shea; family, Dan, Mona, Drew, nephew Jordan, Britt, grandfather Gordon Huntingford and his diggy “dawgs” Tonka and Mackie; and a legacy of friendships from the many chapters of his life. Sean grew up in Victoria playing lacrosse and hockey. At 19 he left Victoria to start his career in the oil patch. His career took him all over the prairies and as far away as Australia. When he met Sasha he immediately knew she was the “one.” They started their life together in Peace River, Alberta where he was the happiest he had ever been and had everything he ever wanted.

A Celebration of Sean’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort. Casual attire, as Sean would want, is preferred. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sean’s name to the SPCA. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

    Although I had never met Sean, I have had the privilege to work with his father for a few years. I have come to know Dan as a smart, funny, caring and thoughtful person.     I have a lot of memories of Sean when he first started working on the rigs. He was a fast learner, and every thing you gave him to do he did with out complaining. He was all ways very safety consious and he was concerned about his crew, he told me when we first set him up drilling that he was going to go slow and if i didnt like that then i should not set him up as a driller. One of the highest complements you can get in the drilling business is when your putting a crew together the guys will allways ask whos the driller, when we told them it was Sean they would all go because they trusted him. He was that kind of guy, it didnt take long to see that he cared about the people he worked with. Sean made a lot of friends in the drilling business and we will all miss him very much.
