    Dear Ron:

    Blanche Pereira

I must thank you for informing me personally about the demise of our dear colleague – your beloved Sharon. I have fond memories of her. She was very efficient at her work, had great organizing and culinary skills, was family oriented and also a very caring person – she took an interest in my career. My conversations with her on her birthdays was all about her adorable feline friends, her garden and her trips abroad. May our good Lord give you the courage to bear this irreparable loss and may her soul rest in peace with the Almighty. Rest assured of my prayers Ron.

    Dear Ron,

I stumbled upon Sharon’s obituary purely by accident today and just wanted to send a quick note to convey my deepest condolences to you and her family.

I have incredibly fond memories of working with Sharon at Immigration in my summers when I was at law school. She was, as her obituary says, hugely respected across the entire Customs & Immigration network in Victoria and she was the consummate manager. I respected Sharon greatly and can safely say that she could teach a lot of very high profile corporate law firm partners a thing or two about effective and compassionate management. Sharon trusted her charges implicitly while always providing whatever support was required – she always had your back and we laughed a heck of a lot along the way in a job that was not without its stresses and strains.

Sharon was also a treasured colleague of my father’s. Their wicked senses of humour played off each other brilliantly – much to the joy of anybody who got to witness it. As I type this, I can hear the laughter and see the smiles.

It was a great pleasure to have the chance to have a visit with Sharon a few years ago on one of my rare visits back to the Island. I shall miss her.

Sending my deepest condolences to you on this tremendous loss and wishing you strength in this very difficult time. May Sharon rest in peace.

    With fondest regards,

    David
