Passed away peacefully of lung cancer on Sat. 29th of August with her family, husband Wayne, daughter Donna, Son in law Mike and twin sister Pat beside her. She is predeceased by sister Jean, brother Angus and grandson Joel
Shelia is remembered with great love by her husband of 47 years Wayne, Her mother of 91 Francis Wigmore, Her daughter Donna, son Ralph and sister Pat. She has grandsons Sean and Kyle, Daughter in law Katherine, grand daughter Gillian and three great grand daughters, Racquelle, Miya. and Layla.
Shelia was born in Calgary Oct.08/1942. She lived in Scotland for 8 years and Norway for 5 years and returned to Canada and Victoria in 1989.
Shelia sailed the North sea 3 times, the Atlantic from Scotland to the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean to Australia on their sail boats. Shelia raced in many races with her husband in Scotland, Norway and Victoria. She was an avid out door person and the happiest times were her 5 hikes on the West Coast Trail with her daughter Donna and Donna’s husband Mike and her sister Pat who also did the five hikes. She has done the Great Walk 3 times and 5 half marathons.
Shelia will be missed by her many walking, running and sailing friends.
Shelia had an open heart and warm smile which she used to meet and make friends.
No service by request as Shelia wanted a private remembrance of her life.
