Shirley will always hold a special place in my heart. She was a true individual that I learned a lot from. She gave me confidence that a woman could be strong and independent as well as witty and caring. For that I will always be grateful. I heart goes out to the family.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Shirley’s family.

I met Shirley shortly after moving to Victoria 9 years ago. We had many golf and curling games together and she played a big part in helping me to feel part of those communities. She was very kind to me and I admired her strength and feisty spirit. I will miss her.

I have known Shirley since I was a little girl. She was unique – she carved her own path and lived life on her own terms. She welcomed Gerry and me into her home at various times and gave my tabby cat, Tao, a permanent home when we became nomads. A good person.

It was my privilege to have known you, Shirley.

  • Brenda (Cropper)Dorman

    Love you.
