  • Lorna Smith (nee Bardarson Hernitsdottir)

Dear Family: My deepest condolences on your loss. I have many fond childhood memories of visiting with Auntie Runa, and loved listening to Dad (Hernit) as he relayed stories and news of her and the family ‘out West.’ Auntie was always kind to me, had a strong love of family, and kinship. Her spirit of adventure, independence, and zest for living inspires me to this day, and I am so grateful for her life.

God be with you, as she will always.

Love Lorna (Bardarson) Smith and family (husband Todd, daughter Tierney and son Darian)

    Dear Family,
With deepest sympathy and loving thoughts. Auntie Runa has held a very special place in my heart. I will always remember her love of driving and have often thought that must be where I got the gene. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke, you were very lucky to have such a wonderful independent person in your lives.
Take care everyone, good health and long life to all.
