Born on October 4, 1925 in Rawa Mazowiecka, Poland. Passed away in Victoria on August 9, 2008. Predeceased by his mother, Zofia; father, Frank and wives, Olga, Mary and Eileen. Stefan is survived by his brother, Henry; nephew, Duncan (Sandra); niece, Emma; stepsons, Paul, Boyd and Stephen. He was a member of Brittannia Legion Victoria Branch for 40+ years and The British Club. He fought with the Polish Army for the British in World War II and was wounded in Monte Cassino. He emigrated to Canada and became a Canadian Citizen. Many thanks to the staff at Aberdeen Hospital, Lansdowne Unit for caring for Stefan over the past year. He will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held at McCall Bros., Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at McCall Bros. Family Chapel on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Eldercare Society, Lansdowne Unit, 1450 Hillside Avenue, Victoria, BC V8T 2B7.
