It is with great sorrow that the family of Stephen William Kun Junior announce his passing on November 23, 2016 after a very brief and courageous battle with cancer. Stephen was born on August 12, 1948 in Brantford, Ontario.
Stephen is survived by his wife and soulmate, Margaret and his children, Rebecca, Jonathan (Samantha), precious grandchildren, Noah, Grayson and Arbor, parents, Helen and Steve Kun(Brantford), sisters, Helen Tindale (Joseph), Cathy Tuck (Andrew), brother, Richard (Ruth), great niece, Jenny Leclerc (Paul Madden), many loving nieces and nephews and devoted dog, Manny.
Steve was in the home improvement business, as well as real estate and property management in both Brantford, Ontario and Victoria, British Columbia. He was a visionary with both local and far reaching impact. He loved life and celebrated each day – always kind, a gentleman and a vibrancy that was contagious. He was dedicated to his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved to be near or on the water in his boat “Maggie and Me”.
A Celebration of Stephen’s life with Rev. Ian Stuart officiating, will be held at Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club, 1949 Marina Way, North Saanich, BC (Off MacDonald Park Rd.) on Sunday, November 27 at 12:30 pm.
Condolences for the family may be offered below.

Gail Wallace “A life well lived is a joy forever”
Dear Margaret and family: You are in my thoughts and prayers as you say Goodbye to Steve.
When we met at University of Toronto gatherings it was always an interesting pleasure to visit with Steve. I remember him telling me about his cobalt blue glass collection of which he was so proud. What I learned most from him – the example he gave of how to deal with chronic pain with courage and good humour. May you each be comforted knowing his pain is ended and may the memories of life with Steve sustain each of you, especially during this season of love, hope, peace and joy.
Sincerely, Gail Wallace (friend from University of Toronto Alumni Association)

Sheila and david Marg, Jonathan and family, and Rebecca. David and I send our deepest condolences in the passing of our good friend, Steve. David will miss him dreadfully and the trips to Costco just won’t be the same. The crazy times during renovations will be missed.
Dear Marg; we are so, so so sorry to read of Steve’s very untimely death. How can one so full of life, Vigor and humour have one’s life snuffed out so young. Ray and I were just talking about you both and I decided to google Steve, sadly this is what I discovered. I am happy for you that you have both Rebeca and Johnathen, plus a number of grandchildren to help you through this painful time.
You were always a great support to others and I know that you will be strong, but it does not make it any easier on you. I know that we are very far away and have been out of touch for a while, but if there is anything we can do for you, please just let us know.
