Predeceased by her loving mom, Doris on February 10, 1987. Sue is survived by her two precious sons, Sam and Liam and their mother, Wendy Seager. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her dad, Ron Chowen and his wife, Josephine; her sisters and brothers; nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles, cousins and friends. Sue was a lifeguard for many years, enjoyed watching football, “Young and the Restless” and was happiest when playing grass hockey, cooking wonderful family dinners and most of all spending time with her two boys. She was an incredible R.N., had a clever wit and was loved by all. Sue – daughter, mother, sister, aunt and a friend to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and was a gift to us all. May you finally rest in peace “Forever 19”.

Wendy, my sincere and heartfelt sympathies to you and your sons. It was a shock to see notice of Sue’s passing in the paper. I never saw Sue without a smile on her face the few times I met her in HSD; it’s a nice memory to have.

I met Sue at the Brittania Legion and was delighted to find she lived a few blocks away. She was a fabulous host always going out of her way to make you feel welcome at her home. I will miss sitting with her in the sun and having great laughs – she was witty, fun and laid back, just a great person to relax with. My hearrtfelt condolences to Wendy, the boys and the Chowen family. Sue will be sadly missed.

WOW- this one caught me by surprise. I worked with Sue in the Aquatic Dept of Recreation Oak Bay for many years. She was so fullof life and had a great sense of humour. It’s shocking to hear of her sudden passing as it seemed like just yesterday a few of the oldies, were recalling the pool days and wondering “where they are now?”. My condolences to her family and may you take comfort in all your wonder-ful memories of times together.

Sue was an incredible friend, a loving mother and a wonderful nurse; among the other great things she was (‘cook’ comes to mind!). I knew Sue first as nurse, and lastly as a friend. I know there are many, many patients (and families of patients) of hers, who were grateful for her caring and skilled nature. I know also, that there are nurses who were instructed by Sue, who will be better nurses than most, because of her teachings – her caring spirit and influence will live on, and on, because of that alone.

I am so saddend to know that her laugh, her warmth and her wit will no longer grace us. She impacted the lives of many, and those of us who knew and loved her will forever cherish her memory, and know that her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched..

My deepest condolences go out to her family, and especially to the boys and Wendy. I cannot imagine what you are going through, but know that my prayers and thoughts are with you all.
    With Love
    Vickie

    Much Love
    Linda
