  3. Susan’s family,
    I am so sorry,
My heart goes out to you as you cope with the pain and sadness of Susan’s too early death. I am thinking of you today as you share your grief with community and celebrate the beautiful person she has been to you. Susan was a dear friend in school. Although we did not spend time together since school days one hopes friends of long ago are doing well so I am sad she had to suffer the pain of saying good-bye too soon. I had hoped to attend the service today but I had family visiting this weekend. How I remember Susan and what you have written in the obit gives me comfort as she knows family is precious. So I spoke of and honoured Susan by choosing to be with my family. She was a gem of a person and I cherish knowing such an upbeat kind of gal. Her voice still sounds in my memory as a clear, strong, reassuring voice (imagine that it is one of her gifts she used). Such a bright spark. I am sorry to not have kept in touch through all these years. Somehow, I have been very saddened to think of her not being here. She will inspire me to make the most of every moment. Take care of your grieving hearts. I will remember Susan fondly.

    With my sincere Condolences

  4. Dear Ross & family
I was very sad when Sue became ill & devastated to hear of her passing. Sue was such a talented kind lady….I’m honoured to have had her as a good friend. She has been a friend for over 40 years….and wenever we were all together there was uproarious laughter and great times. She and Eric can talk things over now and hopefully make some sense of our crazy times together!
My love and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. The memories will be with you all forever.
    Love always. Emily

  8. Dear Ross,

Words seem so inadequate at a time like this….my sincere condolences and caring thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time. I have many fond memories of Sue over the many years since we met at school, (especially some from our early Mom days), and every memory begins with Sue smiling and happily chatting with me. Sue’s kind and caring nature, her deep love of her family, and her genuine friendliness are just a few of the qualities that made her a special person and a beautiful friend (to me and to many others). Blessings to you and your family.

  9. Ross, even when inevitable, sometimes these events are hard to accept… and this is one of those. I want you to know that I mourn with you and my thoughts are with you and the kids. You are one of the finest families I’ve ever known.

  10. Dear Ross, Tim and Jennifer, I can’t believe that Susan has left this world at such an early age. She had so much to give and was so wonderfully expert at it. Susan was able to stimulate and encourage the best in all the students she met, and helped them to develop a pride in their accomplishments, that will continue throughout their lives.
    Kindest regards,
    Phyl
