Sometimes life just does not seem fair, when I was a youngster I looked up to Dennis as my “cool” uncle. It’s always tough when you lose someone who had an impact in your life. I have parents, many many aunts and uncles as well as close family and friends who have touched me in one way or another and as I age it is inevitable that these days will come. Though I will never be ready for these days, I will always be thankful for and cherish the memories. So thinking of my Mom who was there for me from the time I was a baby to my uncles Gerald and Junior and their families, I will celebrate Thanksgiving this season with my family. I remember how Dennis loved the family “feasts” and always piled his “platter” full of Nana’s and mom’s cooking, today we will dine and raise a glass to my uncle Dennis. Happy Thanksgiving Dennis, you’re resting in peace with Nana and Pops now.
