Passed away in Victoria on June 18, 2012. She was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy on August 1, 1948. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Emilio; daughter, Sylvia Scigliano-Bastedo; son, Francesco Scigliano; grandsons, Alexander and Noah and many extended family and dear friends. Sylvia was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Funeral Service will be held at Gateway Baptist Church, 898 Royal Oak Avenue in Saanich at 2:30 pm on Friday, June 22, 2012 with interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mustard Seed, 625 Queens Avenue, Victoria BC, V8T 1L9. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
