It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved dad and grandpa, Terence “Joe” Wayne Logan on January 15, 2024.

Dad was born May 19, 1946 in Winsor Ontario. He is predeceased by his wife Joanne “Bunny” Logan, and is survived by his daughters Kathy, Jenny and Barbara; as well as his grandkids Joshua, Logan, Jenna and Macy, and his son-in-law Gary.

Dada spent most of his younger years living between London Ontario and Chilliwack BC, and at a very young age enlisted in the Canadian Navy. It was while living in Victoria, BC that he met Bunny. They married in 1965 and enjoyed almost 58 years of marriage.

Dad went on to have a full and lengthy career as a Drill Blaster. He took much pride in his work, spending years travelling between home and various logging camps on the island and coast. In the later years he mostly worked in Port Renfrew allowing him to be home with his family everyday.

Dad enjoyed playing hockey in earlier years and spent may Friday nights on the ice in the 70’s and 80’s; most notably with his brother-in-law Charlie.

Dad was an intelligent man with a keen sense of humour. He was voracious reader, and enjoyed many road trips and vacations to the U.S…mostly Las Vegas! Dad also liked to play the ponies and could often be found at Sandown racetrack when they were running.

We lost Mom on June 20, 2023 and Dad never recovered from his broken heart.

Joe was a great Dad, Husband, and Grandpa. He had a generous heart and was very proud of his family. He could tell a pretty good joke or story…sometimes over and over!

He’ll be missed by all of us, by he’s gone to be with Mom.
