To his family: i thought of him today as i was a member of the Anglican Church in Invermere B.C.He left such a heartfelt memory of him. I was probably 11 to 15 or 16 years old when i was a member of his church. He created such a happy safe place for teens and was well respected by all of us and we were blessed to have him in our lives. I taught Sunday School, belonged to the Young Peoples Group and attended church every Sunday. I just turned 74 this month and often think of your dad and remember when he married your mom and am sure he was an amazing dad to you all. I hope this gives you a little insight into your father as a kind, gentle caring minister to teens as we were a better bunch of people having him in our lives

    Dear Suzanne,
I was so very sorry to hear of your father’s passing, and I’m thinking of you. It is good you will be able to mourn and celebrate the life of the man you loved so much in the crucible of family and friends. When my mother passed away, I remember you said how important it was to tell the stories, and laugh as well as cry, to remember the one you loved into the future. That gave me solace, Suzanne, and I hope it does you now.

My deepest condolence to you and your family,
    Jean

It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of another family member. I never met Gavin and his family and only found him from a cousin,Bruce and Janet Rumsey. Gavin’s father Godfrey was a brother to my Grandfather,Frederick Parry Edmond Rumsey, my mothers father.
I would like one of Gavin and Lois family to contact me, being a family history buff, i would like more information on Gavins family
as i have very little, it will mean a lot to me.
God bless you all and with much family love from ontario.

    Dear Lois
We are sad that Gavin has died yet relieved that his struggle is over. He was a man with an enormoous pastoral heart and was a great blessing to many.
When I was at my lowest point in Trail due to Anne’s depression Gavin helped me to find light for my darkness, I will treasure that memory always.
We both send you and your family our love
