It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved mother, Thuy Huynh, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, at age of 86. She was born in Svay Rieng, Cambodia. She escaped the Khmer Rouge and immigrated to Saigon Vietnam in 1975, then escaped Vietnam to Thailand’s refugee camp for 2 years and immigrated to Victoria BC Canada October of 1984. Thuy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Thon Ngo, and son in law, Lee Phan. Thuy is survived by her children, Kham, Kiet (Vinh), Susie (Joe), John (Wanda), May (Cliff), Yoke (Tiger) and Bick (Aaron). Grandchildren, Steven, Jason, Celine (Tim), Ryan, Riann, Elizabeth (Nathanell), Rachel (Matthew), Joseph, Logan, Lincoln, Amelia, Tai and Tia. Great grandchildren, Ava, Lilia, Tavian, Forrest, Watson, Therese and Catherine.
The family would like to thank Dr. Schachter, Dr. Chew, Dr. Phang and the entire renal unit team at Royal Jubilee Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by the family on Thuy’s behalf to the kidney foundation.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive on Saturday May 17th, 2025 at 10:00am, with a reception to follow.
