Born December 20, 1923 in Rjukan, Norway, and died April 20, 2012 in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her husband Olav in 1995. Mom passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved children Olav, Tora and Magnus (Sarah). Special thanks to Mary, Sasha and Sonya for helping us look after mom during her illness. Mom will be missed by all including her grandchildren Olav, Beatrix, Bennett, and nieces Astrid-Janneke (David, Ian and Zabrina) in Canada; Karen, Ingrid and Sylvia in Guatemala; nephew Harald, niece Elizabeth, nephew Torleiv in Hamar, Norway; and nephew Hans-Olav in Oslo, Norway. Mom’s passing leaves a huge void in our lives. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 30th in Victoria. Email thyvolds@gmail.com for information.
