With a heavy heart, we wish to announce the passing of the kind and gentle soul of Vera Watson on May 8, 2013. She was born on February 15, 1924 in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Bon Accord, AB. Vera went to Mt. Royal College in Calgary and worked for several years. She married Cam Watson on November 1, 1947.
She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Ethel Neilson, and her husband Cam Watson. She is survived by her kids Sherry (Larry) Chassie, and Lou Watson; 2 grandchildren Kari and Jason (Shannon) Chassie; 2 great-grandchildren Seanna and Alexa Chassie, and many other special relatives.
Memorial service will be held at Sequoia Gardens Memorial (4665 Falaise Dr.) on Saturday, May 25, at 2:00 pm. A reception will be held at Uplands Golf Course on Sunday, May 26 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Special thanks to Dr. John Kelly and the Royal Jubilee Hospice staff. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.ca). Condolences may be offered below.

Max Dalsin Dear Watson Family and Friends,
Vera was a person who had touched the lives of many members of my family. Her realtionship with our grandmother Elizabeth (Betty) Andreas had quickly made it feel as if Lou and Vera were an extension of our own family.
My heart goes out to all those who’s lives were touched by Vera’s kind heart and gentle demeanor. It is a tragedy that a life that brings so much joy to others enitvitably must come to an end. I’m confident that the memory of Vera will be charished by all those who had the good fortune of knowing her. Her passing will bring them only short term sadness but leave them in the long term with only serenity and joy for having the pleasure of of being close with such an amazing person.
