Born August 5th 1908 in Vancouver to James Walton and Clara Mary Chapman. The eldest of 5 sons, he was raised in Victoria. Len passed onto eternal life on March 25, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Maryon Furness Chapman. He is survived by his son, Huntly Gordon Chapman, M.D. of Dallas, Texas and daughter, Mary-Claire Chapman Borg M.D. of Cape Coral, Florida. Two grandchildren, Chantal Marie Poole of Charleston, South Carolina and Kaitlin Ann Chapman of Atlanta, Georgia and two great-grandchildren, John Terry Poole and Huntly Chapman Poole; also several nieces and nephews and families including Jan Mau, Fern Johnson and Cherie Kahn of Victoria . Len was a man of great character and humility, a renowned teacher, author, compassionate and loving father and uncle. He loved life and lived for God. He will be greatly missed by all his friends, students and family.

A Celebration of Len’s life is to be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev Jerry Ritskes officiating. All friends and family are invited.
