Vi was a great neighbour. I’ll miss our chats over the back fence, her down-to-earth approach, generousity, positivity and humour. As an example, a couple of years ago three stray kittens showed up. Vi entertained them on her back porch during the day. She never complained about them even when they got into things, including attacking her banana loaf. It was a pleasure knowing her.

    My condolences to the family,
    Janet

I worked with Vi at Thermoshell and we had lots of laughs. She had a great smile and an even better laugh. I did not see her often these past years but I was in touch with her as a customer of Columbia and your Dad used to come in and see me at Rock Bay and pay his bill so I would get updates then. Your Mom will be missed.

I had the pleasure of caring for Viola. I will miss our giggles and “solving the world’s problems”, she was a lovely lady. God Bless.

    Hello Girls

I wanted to say how sorry I am that your Mum has passed away, I worked with her for close to 20 years at Shell . In the past few years I would stop in for coffee now and then and your Mum was always in good spirits never once complaining about her situation, just making the best of it. When I think of her I will always remember her laugh.
I am not able to make your Mum’s funeral but will be thinking of you on Wednesday.

    Sincerely Janice Penman

To the family, ” I like to believe that when we lose someone close to us they still live through us and give us strength. The time we have spent with those we’ve lost makes them part of us.” You are in my thoughts.
