  1. i just came across the announcement of Wendy’s passing today. Wendy & Linda were the first people in my life to take a chance on me (at 15 years old) and hire me to work in their family owned and run restaurant – Bob’s Grill. Wendy was a quiet, but extremely effective mentor (Linda was less quiet, but equally effective :-). The work experience and opportunity to spend time with the Barron family have stayed with me over all of these years. The family’s love for one another and dedication to one another was ever present. I am so happy that you have each another to help you through this time of sorrow. Wendy may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. Please accept my deepest sympathies. xoxo Sara

  2. Dear Tracey and family – Peter and I were totally shocked to read about your dear mother Wendy. We remember her and all of your family in fond memories at LJ Gallery and the wonderful food and service given. We also remember her wedding day and how happy she was. An angle for sure and always with a smile.
Our deeepest sympathy to you and the family – in our prayers and thoughts. God bless.

  4. To those grieving the loss of Wendy Barron…my deepest condolences for your loss…having read all the heartfelt comments, I felt I should have known her. A colleague @ my workplace asked me if Wendy was my mother-in-law as she saw my name in the obits Oct 15th. I was very surprised that we share the same name. I was also born in 1949 along with a twin sister. Could we be related? I’d love to hear from a family member to find out. Who knows?

  8. Dear Linda, Nancy and Tracey, and other Dear Ones,
During the three years that I was privileged to be a part of Wendy’s life, I learned to treasure this relationship with such a dear friend.
I read your message, Tracey with complete disbelief, then followed a feeling of intense loss. I feel for each of you who are so close to her as you deal with your loss.
Wendy was a model to me of how to lead a spiritual life with energy, humour and such a practical love of those in her path. She sensed our needs and gave of herself quietly, unstintingly,to ease us through life’s challenges,or lighten our hearts, in spite of her own challenges.
My anticipation of memorable times yet to be shared with Wendy is now replaced with the comforting thought that I can, and do, relive those precious memories of my dear friend, her wise and loving and giving life of grace and humour, There is so much in her life to be emulated.

  10. Dear Linda and Nancy,
May you feel peace in your hearts – the peace that comes with letting go, grateful for the time you found to share with Wendy at the end, and for all the ways in which you will hold her close and remember her.
I know that I will remember her deep caring warmth, and for the generosity and joy that beamed out from her smile every day!
    Take care,
    Jan
