  4. The World is a poorer place with the passing of Helma.
Always cheerful and positive, Helma was a delight to all her family and friends. May her journey be one of joy knowing she did the best possible job of instilling in her children the value of love and tolerance towards all.
Bless you dear Helma. We love and miss you.

  5. Dear all,

Because of the fact that Aunt Helma and I have the same date of birth, I felt a special bond with her. We wrote each other birthday letters for many years. I will miss that feeling of connectedness.
    With love, Esther

  7. Dear Pieter, Fi and Pietsie and other family,

Condolences with your mother, my aunt Helma, sister of my father Carel. It was good to see her the last time she was in the Netherlands, about 2 years ago. Some years before that my late husband Eric and I went to see her in Victoria which was a really nice visit.

    All the best,
    Aleid Knoote-Aalders

  8. My condolences to the Canadian cousins for tante Helma! We met her just a few years ago in Amsterdam, and have fond memories of the times we saw her in Holland.
Lots of love to you all,

  9. I loved my dear sister so much. We talked a lot over the telephone, laughed and exchanged good and bad tidings. She was so transparent, so helpful, so understanding. Wherever she appeared she radiated warmth, it seemed the place became cosier, the conversation merrier. She meant so much to me, supported me and understood the problems with which I was confronted, found solutions together with me. I shall miss her terribly.

  10. To Fi, Piets, Pieter : Marius, Lydia and I ( Paul’s wife) together with my daughter Nelleco and son Hein Aalders will have a wake on monday 3 pm (our time) at my home to share our memories of Helma and being thinking of you, on your way to the celebration at Beach Drive.
Hein composed a selection of old family photos and sent it to you.
We are grateful for having known Helma and will always remember her. She stepped into another world, unknown to us but – as I trust – in safe Hands.
We keep in touch! TIES Aalders
