Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 2, 2012. He is sadly missed by his sister, Ruth; partner and best friend, Yvonne; his children, David, Hugh, Debbie, Drew and Craig and many loving grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Jane.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life for family and friends is being held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at The Delta Victoria Ocean Point Hotel, Pacific Suite. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Roger Evans Just returned from a trip and heard the news of Bill’s passing from my sister-in-law in London.
As you all know, Bill and I first met in Grade Five and have been wonderful friends and in touch ever since, both in person and by letters & phone calls.. In recent times the latter have been highlighted by Bill’s sense of humour and laughter at his predicament. I loved the guy more every time we talked together.
Our many experiences together in various locales, including an overnight on a park bench in Detroit in the mid-forties, could make intersting conversation article and it would be great to share some of the memories with you. Meanwhile I have passed the word to Dick Hutchinson and Ken Belbeck

Bill was a wonderful man, the Allen family will always remember and love him for his kindness to our son Judson. I will always remember him for his sense of humour and all the great adventures, conversations and terrific meals we had together (he was a great chef). I will truly miss him he was a wonderful friend .

Wayne & Barb Campbell Bill was an amazing man, and has left us all with many great memories of his wit, passion, generousity and strength of character. He was a good businessman who passed along his enthusiasm to all who came in contact with him. He was also a man proud of his family and loved ones and also proud of his origins.
Our deepest sympathy to all of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a special person.
