Colin Grant

Passed away suddenly on October 29, 2011 at 54 years of age. Colin was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia on December 10, 1956. He was predeceased by his father, Louis Grant and is lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Sylvia; daughter, Gizelle; son, Cale; mother, Anne Grant; sisters, Anne-Marie (Joe) Durant, Louise (Arnold) Van Heighten and Janet (Jerome) MacPherson; brothers, Danny (Sharon), Billy (Bernadette) and John (Donna); and many close friends and colleagues.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and Monday, November 7, 2011 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at ST. ANDREW’S CATHEDRAL, Blanshard at View Streets on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 12:10 pm.

The family would like to express their most sincere appreciation to the crew and command of the HMCS Vancouver, 443 (MH) Squadron and many friends and family who have provided their help and support.

  5. My deepest condolences to the Grant family. It was an honour to have known, laugh, and serve, with “the mailman” as he was affectionately known during his deployment in Afghanistan. These fond memories will remain with me. He will be deeply missed.

    My sincerest condolences for your loss. Give my best to Sharon and Danny as well. If you remember, I graduated from St.FX with Sharon and have very fond memories of the great time we had at graduation. I was very sorry to hear about Colin.
