Paulos – Dino Sam was taken from us unexpectedly on April 24, 2012, in Victoria, BC. He was born a Spartan December 2, 1945, in Molai, Greece.
Dino immigrated to Canada with his parents at the age of 14 and settled in Winnipeg, where he attended high school and university. Dino received his first degree in biology from the University of Manitoba and subsequently graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in 1974. After practicing in Winnipeg for a short time, he moved to Victoria and established his practice in Sidney in 1977. Dino practiced dentistry in Victoria for the rest of his days, evolving into one of the world’s foremost authorities in the area of biological dentistry. He was very passionate about his work and helped countless people from all over the world restore their health and well-being. Dino did everything in life with extreme enthusiasm and vigor, whether it was cooking in his wood burning oven or scavenging driftwood on a remote beach. Driftwood came to life in his hands and imagination. A hobby that started with a small mirror blossomed into life-sized works of mythological creatures.
Dino was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and friend, and is so loved by so many. Dino walked amongst us. His presence will be missed yet the love and joy he brought will live on forever in us all.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 30th at 11:00 am at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Savior, 4648 Elk Lake Drive in Victoria with reception to follow.
Condolences for the family may be offered below.

The passing of this great man is not only a tremendous loss to the alternative medical community, but to society as a whole. Dino always put others before himself and did so with a warm smile. He was a man who was an example of how we all should strive to be. We will always be honoured that we were lucky enough to know him. Our thoughts are with you Dejay.
Dear Family,
Our deepest sympathies to you at this very difficult time. You are in our hearts and prayers. Dino was our classmate in Elementary school in Molai. His kind heart was known back then and only continued to grow, “Kalo Taxidi Dino” until we meet again. May the Paschal light of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ shine upon you. Memory eternal.
Dino always gave more than he took. His loving, gentle spirit will always be with us. So many memories of a wonderful talented man. We will keep his memory forever in our hearts.
Sincere condolences to all the family.
Love, SAM, Andrea and Daniel McClintock
Hey Spartan warrior-
Please carry and wave the flame that was the joy of your life and let it shine over all of us – It’s only by the warmth of that fire that we can find any solace in such tragic news. The community of doctors that held you as a teacher and friend will forever be altered by your loss. My condolences to all of your family.

Dearest Sophia and Sam, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Uncle Dino was one of a kind! He always remembered everyone! My telephone would ring when I lived at the cottage on my own, and it would be him, checking how I was! Sometimes I referred to him as my beachcomber uncle. He was one cool guy! His voice always had a smile! His memory will live with all of us!
With all my love…..
