I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I wanted to share a few thoughts about Dave, as he was such an outstanding individual and I feel lucky to have known him.
I first met Dave at the gym, where he was a daily fixture. He was such a supportive member of our group, always there to enjoy the atmosphere and make everyone feel welcome. He truly cared about the people around him, and his presence made our time together much brighter.
I also had the privilege of visiting Dave at his office, where I saw firsthand just how much he poured his heart into his work. It was enlightening to see how deeply he cared for his patients—he was the type of person who would go out of his way to help someone, always putting their needs far above any financial gain. When it came to his craft, he was incredibly meticulous, but his true gift was his ability to put people at complete ease.
I considered Dave a good friend, and while we didn’t see each other as often as I would have liked, I always cherished our conversations. He was a kind, talented, and remarkably well-spoken man who could contribute insightfully to any topic. He truly had a big heart, and I know how much he loved you all.
Dave will be so deeply missed. Please know that you are in my thoughts.
With deepest sympathy…
This morning, when I went for my dental appointment, I learned that Dr. Scott had passed away. I was in complete shock. He had been my dentist for over twenty-five years—an exceptional professional and a truly kind person. My heartfelt condolences to Dr. Scott’s family and friends.
Two moments especially stand out to me. The first was when his office was closed during his move from Beacon Avenue to 5th Street. I was in severe pain, and despite everything going on, he told me to come in. Even with the office in transition, he took the time to treat me and relieve my pain.
The second was on New Year’s Eve in 2025. I was again in terrible discomfort and called the office. Although Dr. Scott was away on holidays, the staff reached him, and he arranged for a antibiotic prescription. Not only that, he personally called my husband to make sure I was okay. When he returned, I saw him right away—he ultimately had to pull the tooth—and, as always, he was kind, gentle, and reassuring.
I am 72 years old, and throughout all these years, Dr. Scott was consistently professional, compassionate, and upbeat. He was an incredible dentist.
Thank you, Dr. Scott, for taking such good care of me and for making this world a better place. I will miss you. May you Rest in peace.
