Dear Helen,
So sad to hear of Jimmy’s passing. I remember him well from the soccer games and barbecues of the late 1970s/early 1980s when Deborah and Gary were just weans. Jimmy was a delight to be around, a lovely man with a great sense of humour. I know he will be missed greatly.
My sincere condolences to Jimmy’s wife and family. I was very sad to hear of his passing.
Jimmy was the personification of a Celtic supporter that we would aspire to be, a nicer man you couldn’t meet. My heart is empty now that he has gone, ynwa
My heart and prayers goes out to his family and friends. Jim was an awesome man of faith and love. I benefited greatly from his friendship in the year and a half I have known him. Rest assured this man of faith is in a good place now, he will be sorely missed here though.
I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to the family of Jim Fitzpatrick.
I came to know Jim through the Coastal Aboriginal Shipbuilding Alliance (CASA) project where we are trying to create career opportunities for Aboriginals in the greater maritime industry.
From the minute that we met with Jim, we were greatly impressed by his honest, no- nonsense approach, and straight shooter attitude.
I always felt at ease, and in a place of respect whenever we met, or spoke on the phone.
Jim was a good supporter of our efforts, and offered sage advice whenever asked.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family, and other loved ones of Jimmy. Strength to all in this time of great sorrow.
In great respect,
Jay Mearns.
