Born on January 22, 1970 in Victoria, BC, our dear Judy left us unexpectedly on March 4, 2022.
With tremendous sadness, yet with honour and deep love, Judy’s mother, Jean Wescott and countless treasured friends are left to reflect on the life of a brilliant, witty, kind and vibrant woman.
Judy was devastated when her Dad, Vic Wescott passed away before his time was up. As are we today, reflecting on a precious life lost too soon.
To know Judy, was to love Judy. A natural connector, she had a magical way of bringing people together, through her passion for work, sport and friendships of all kind.
We will all honour Judy in our own way. In lieu of flowers, Jean asks that you please consider giving to the Courtnall Society www.courtnallsociety.org or a charity that supports mental health wellness in your community.
Heaven gained one hell of an angel. Judy Wescott, you will always have a little gangster under your crown.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Oh Judy… how much I will miss you. You are the celebrity most anybody that saw you knew you had to be. The ones that were lucky enough to have met you, felt the privilege that you made damn sure we were aware of, to behold that special person.
You’re tone, looking down of your nose at the world sense of humour, was taken the way you intended it and loved for it….as you would flick back that raven hair. You hate emojis, (but you loved emojis)
You were the hardest worker, the most knowledgeable practitioner, and the most helpful and caring friend…and that smile….you see I am struggling to say the best for you………
My deepest sympathies to Judy’s family and all who loved her. May your happy memories help to ease your pain.
Dear Jean, from one Momma to another, my heart cries and prays for you. If ever you need a shoulder or a gentle ear, please don’t hesitate to call me. I also know the sadness of losing a child. Judy has been a dear friend to my daughter Stacey Hannah for many years. We have spent some amazing fun filled times with Judy & our family & friends, river rafting down the Cowichan River or celebrating Christmas & BBQ’s at my home numerous times. Judy was always a ray of sunshine with an amazing heart. We were all so shocked to hear of her passing.
God bless your lovely daughter & God Bless you my friend. Her memories and smile will be carried in our hearts.
As Racquet Club kids we swam and played (badminton, tennis and found our way to squash which opened the doors to travels and friends far and wide). Judy surprised me one day with a birthday present – giving it to me at little old Campus View. I was in grade 6 and she was in grade 4. This sparked a lifelong sister-hood as her home was my home-away-home and Jean forever my Victoria momma!!!! Judy….judy……judy….. Jude’s – you beautiful spirited soul lives on in all of us and I, personally feel your caring, witty and ever so sarcastic presence inside me. My love and care go to the many Judy touched and especially to my beloved Momma Jean. I have donated to the Courtnall Society so Judy’s tragic loss will hopefully make a positive difference in other lives, knowing this is exactly how Judy lived her life everyday – connecting and touching lives of others! Love and condolences, Deidre
Jean, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your daughter was an amazing person. Judy and I became friends through work but our friendship grew beyond that and we became lifelong friends. Judy brought an energy to anything she did, she was always willing to participate, and she had a drive and an energy that made you want to participate too. Judy literally knew everyone. I’m proud to call her a friend, happy to have known her and I will miss her always. Judy is a light that will shine on all of us until we meet again.
Dear Jean, so saddened to read of your daughter’s passing. Memories will be a wonderful blessing to keep with you always.

I am so sad to hear of Judy’s passing. Judy was a wonderful person and was so bright in mind and spirit and she made people feel better whenever she was present. Judy and I had planned to go for a drink together when I returned from Palm Springs but instead I now must have that drink on my own, but I will be raising my glass to Judy to thank her and remember her for being a kind, generous and fun person and good friend.

Hi Jean,
I am so sorry to hear of your daughter, Judy’s, passing. We haven’t stayed in touch since our banking days together but I can’t imagine losing a daughter no matter how old they are. Thinking about you during this time or sorrow.
Dear Jean, I cannot tell you how saddened and shocked I was when I heard this terrible news.
I cannot fathom the grief you are feeling, and can assure you that you are not alone. Judes
and I were quite the team at LTO back in the day, and you bet we had fun! Each time we ran
into one another, it was like no time had passed at all, just picked up where we left off.
My sincere condolences and very large hugs to you
My heartfelt condolences to Jean for this tremendous loss. Judy & I were fast friends when we met, and I realized she knew about every person I’d ever met in Victoria. We spent so much time together & had SO MUCH fun & laughter. We supported one another through some rough times and I knew the fierce loyalty of her friendship. Judy, dear soul, I know life wasn’t always a party, but that house across the street will always have a disco ball, your fantastic purple chair, and a pumping soundtrack that leads to dancing on the coffee table. You’re gone far too soon, but you sure left you mark on so many while you were here. Now Peace x
