Born on January 22, 1970 in Victoria, BC, our dear Judy left us unexpectedly on March 4, 2022.
With tremendous sadness, yet with honour and deep love, Judy’s mother, Jean Wescott and countless treasured friends are left to reflect on the life of a brilliant, witty, kind and vibrant woman.
Judy was devastated when her Dad, Vic Wescott passed away before his time was up. As are we today, reflecting on a precious life lost too soon.
To know Judy, was to love Judy. A natural connector, she had a magical way of bringing people together, through her passion for work, sport and friendships of all kind.
We will all honour Judy in our own way. In lieu of flowers, Jean asks that you please consider giving to the Courtnall Society www.courtnallsociety.org or a charity that supports mental health wellness in your community.
Heaven gained one hell of an angel. Judy Wescott, you will always have a little gangster under your crown.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Jean,
I am so very sorry to learn of the death of your dear daughter, Judy. We have lost touch but I often think of you and remember the close bond that you had with Judy.
My deepest condolences. It was a shock to see Judy’s name in today’s newspaper in such a manner. I still have fond memories of her from long ago, in the Campus View era.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Judys’ passing, she was one of those people who had a presence in everyones life she touched. Judy came to work for me covering a maternity leave for my regular assistant; and her abilities, intelligence and excellent work ethic were immediately apparent, along with her unique sense of humour. She had an amazing memory for detail and once she had met a client, she never forgot who thy were, and was always attentive and kind in dealing with them. We worked well together, and when my regular assistant returned to work, we were delighted that she agreed to stay on at McBOP on a permanent basis, taking charge of our corporate department. Others have commented on her personality, her infectious enjoyment of life, her love of people, and her loyalty to her friends and colleagues. May you Rest In Peace, my friend, I know you will be deeply missed.
Mrs Westcott. My sympathies on Judy’s passing. She was an absolute delight and although we saw each other infrequently, she was always there with a smile and some good banter. I will miss that
One would travel far to meet a more caring and thoughtful person than Judy. We shared a “Norfolk” connection through our daughter and she was always keen to share her memories of those years. Judy exuded such vivacity and wonderful sense of humour that laughter would permeate every conversation leaving all feeling the better for it. Her personality was unique, her smile infectious and her heart overwhelming full of compassion for those she held dear. Sincerest sympathies to Judy’s family and
many friends………….Diane and Bill Hazell
I had the pleasure of working with Judy for a number of years and I enjoyed her sense of humour and her ability to make friends. I wish to express my deepest condolences to her family and friends. She is certainly missed.
I am so grateful to have had Judy as my stepsister. Over the past few years we were able to connect and strengthen our bond as sisters and as friends.
The world lost a fun, loyal and loving person. My heart breaks for Jean because I know how much Jude loved her mother.
I know her dad is thrilled to have her with him now and that brings me so much joy.
I am going to miss Judy so much.
Having met you Judy during our travels almost twenty years ago, you became a staple part of every trip. Whether we intended to come to BC or not, we were always drawn to you. A pre-requisite stop, incorporated just to have a funny night in Vic.
You’re clever, funny, warm and welcoming and I’m honoured to say you’ve been my friend – as well as an avid follower of FunkySX on the airwaves and loyal supporter of my ‘other’ career as Lars.
Sleep well, my smiley friend. Will be raising a glass in your honour, for sure.
With lots of love, your friend, John x
Jean, my heart breaks for you. Losing your beloved husband Vic, and now Judy. I can’t imagine your heartache. I am so sorry for your loss.
Judy and I went to Norfolk House together and were instantly bosom buddies, grades 8-10. Where there was Jody, there was Judy and vice-versa. I loved that we loved the wackiness and silliness in one another. I laugh looking back at the memories we shared.
I moved away from Victoria long ago, but she never left my heart.
I made a donation to the Courtnall Foundation in her honour.
My deepest condolences.
