  1. I am one of Matt’s regular bus drivers with BC Transit. He had been a passenger of mine for many years . I am devastated to hear of his sudden passing — my heartfelt sympathies go out to his family.
Matt always had a smile on his face, and a heart of gold. He loved to be a part of “the buses”, from wanting to put up the seats at the end of my shift, to changing the signs for the next route. There was never a lull for conversation … he always had a story to tell. Whether it be about his day at school, or about the upcoming weekend plans.
News of Matt’s passing has shocked all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. The # 52 will never quite be the same. There will be another bright star shining down on us …. Be at peace Matt.

  2. I am so sorry for your profound loss. I only met Matt a couple of times and was delighted to hear about his friendship with my nephew Ben, and how he taught and encouraged Ben to venture into the outside world to experience independence. On behalf of Ben’s extended family, thank you.

  3. I miss Matt. I will miss riding the bus with him, him coming over to my house, and having adventures with him. Matt was my Best Friend of mine. I hope he has a great time in heaven.
