  4. I was so saddened to hear Mike had left us. He was the nicest guy who was a friend in grade school at Willows through to grade 9 at Oak Bay. When I learned Nikki was his wife, and that they had kids, I was delighted…delighted he had done well, found a great gal and had a loving family. Mike deserved that.
I had so hoped the opportunity would arise to see him again to express how proud of him I was…but…dear Mike.
Clay’s right though, Mike’s Hot Wheels set…was awesome.
    Drive on, Mike.

With heart-felt sympathies to the Deighton’s, Geoff G.

  5. Dear Nikki and Tyler,

I was very shocked to hear the news of Mike’s passing. He was so obviously a great parent and partner and an all around good human being. It was a privilage to have met such a caring person.
If there is anything at all I or the staff at Sylvan can do to help with anything now or in the weeks to come, please let us know and we will be there for you.
My heart goes out to both of you and your family.

  8. Nikki, we’re so very shocked and saddened to hear of Mike’s death. We will always remember that fun New Year’s Eve with you two when we all went to Butchart Garden. He was a great, funny guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jacqui and Tyler.

  9. Dear Deighton family, and especially Doreen Deighton,
I unfortunately hadn’t seen Mike for many years but often thought of Mike. I especially remember the times we had at Carnarvan Park playing road hockey. I vivedley remember the final game of the Stanley Cup in 1967 when the Leafs won and you and your dad George celebrated with pots and pans. You had the best Hot Wheels collection ever! Loved you buddy!
    Love,
    Clay McMeekin

  10. Dear Nikki.

My heart goes out to you and your family in your time of sorrow.
Please know that you are in my loving thoughts.
