October 30, 1959 – February 13, 2011
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mike. Born and raised in Victoria he is predeceased by his father, George. Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife, Nikki; daughter, Jacqui; son, Tyler; and mother, Doreen.
Mike was involved for a number of years as coach for Gordon Head Girls Fastball and more recently as his son’s lacrosse coach with Saanich Tigers.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at THE WESTIN BEAR MOUNTAIN BALL ROOM, 1999 Country Club Way on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm.

Dear Nikki, Tyler and Jacqueline
I am still in shock at hearing about Michael’s passing. It saddens me that I am not able to come out for his service, but I will be there in spirit, if not in person.

Nikki, I am so very sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. We were very shocked. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Mike’s, and your, time at Gordon Head Fastball was much appreciated and he will always have a spot out there on the diamond at Majestic Park. We will think of him as we start a new season in April. Take care or yourselves throught this difficult time.

Nikki,
Margot and I were shocked and deeply saddened to hear about your loss. I have very fond memories of Mike coaching the girls. He was a wonderful coach, very kind, generous and respectful to the girls. As a parent, that meant a lot to me. Though we haven’t seen each other for a while, I ran into Mike and Tyler at Thrifty’s not that long ago. He was as warm and friendly as ever, and we had a great chat, catching up on Jacqui and Meara, Hayley-Rose and Tyler. Unfortunately, Margot and I will not be able to attend on Thursday, but you and your family will be in our thoughts.

To the family ~
It’s been many years since I had seen Mike and my sympathy to
all of you. I worked with him at Shopper’s Drug Mart and remember much laughter and his love of music from those days.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
