  2. I don’t remember laughing so hard as when I was in Patrice’s presence. She was an amazing person with a one of a kind sense of humour. I know she is making the angels laugh. My condolences to her family at her tragic passing.

  3. As I will not be able to attend the Celebration of Life for Patrice on September 1st I am sending my sincere condolences. Patrice was a support worker in my classes at Claremont. She was always welcome and helpful when she entered the room and helped to make the day fun with her sense of humour and style. Her kindness shone through at all times. I am very sorry for her loss.

  4. I am still having a hard time with the sudden death of my childhood friend, Patrice. We went to Cloverdale Elementary School together, after I started going there in grade 2. I knew her family and was often at their home as we lived just a house away. We were typical girls, having fun and silly times. Then Patrice moved away and life carried on. We linked up in the last few years, initially via social media. Although it had been many years, I could see Patrice was the kind, intelligent, fun-loving person from when we were kids. I feel immense sadness at her passing, because there will never be enough people like Patrice in this world. My heart goes out to David, Brian and all of her extended family and friends. Such a a sweet soul.

  5. We had not seen Patrice in recent years, and heard of her activities through her parents. It was good to see that she made a positive difference in so many foster children’s lives. What a great legacy! We remember Patrice best as David and Brian’s annoying little sister, as most are for their older brothers.
Our condolences go out to the family and friends suddenly left behind. Indeed, the Fates do not always proceed as expected. Also, our respects and belated condolences for her dad’s passing; notice was received via the family grapevine just a month or so ago. Sadly, no matter how strong, family connections seem to disintegrate once key members move on. Our thoughts are with father and daughter as they complete their final journey.

  6. I am in disbelief that Patrice is gone, we rode together for many years. She was so much fun,her infectious smile and laugh would always make things seem better. She always had a smile on her face, despite having a high stress jobs. Patrice was so good around the kids she cared for, with her easy going attitude, it didn’t mean she didn’t care for them or hold them to good standards, she just had that way about her, which made them feel cared for, but not micromanaged. She was an intelligent and kind human, she has touched so many people and will be dearly missed. I’m sorry that we didn’t spent enough time together in the last few years .

  7. Patrice worked with my daughter for many years through SD63. I will remember her amazing sense of humour, which made me laugh when things were not going so well. Along with that, she was also someone who truly cared and was always willing to work through solutions to the many complicated situations that arose. She was a valuable resource and I respected her expertise. I felt that I could always count on her to persevere and provide honest feedback. She managed to get my vegetable avoiding daughter to embrace veggies and for that I will always be grateful. She was a kind soul who was dedicated to those who couldn’t always speak for themselves, and she always saw the light in everyone. To top it all off she did it all with great style. She will be very missed.
