David Scott Douglas Shoemaker, age 49 years, passed away on April 3rd, 2022, at the Victoria General Hospital, in the Intensive Care Unit, with his family at his side. Scott was predeceased by his Dad, Dave, in December, 2021, and is survived by his mother, Elaine, and his sister, Lauren.
Scott loved all animals, especially his cat Bobby, and other rescued pets, giving each a forever home. Scott was skilled, always able to fix anything at any time. Scott also had an outrageous sense of humour which knew no bounds.
We will miss Scott every day. The silence is deafening, but he lives loudly in our hearts forever.
A private family viewing was followed by cremation.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Lauren and Mrs. S. I am so very sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. I have so many great memories of our time as friends and classmates at Fairburn. I’m sorry that I lost touch with Scott after I went to a different junior high and then moved to the mainland. Thinking of you both as you grieve another difficult loss in such a short time.
Lauren

We are so sorry to hear of Scott’s passing. He was always a bright and generous spirit that made people laugh. I will always remember our times playing baseball and hanging out at the Shoemaker house as teenagers.

So sorry to read this. I remember Scott very well as a much younger boy who was a neighbour and went to school with my own children
