Terry H. Quocksister, who many of you knew as “The Q”, born in Comox BC on Aug 18th 1943 died peacefully on Aug 26th in Vic General Hospital in his home town of Victoria BC. Terry had taken residence in Bellevue, Washington since 1996 and leaves behind a great deal of friends and employees. Survived by children Tanis, Lisa, Justin and Tim; niece, Laura and nephew, Stephen; his grandchildren, Kashtin, Josh, Milan and Racquel. Terry was a keen collector of friends and classic cars, always knew how to laugh and make others laugh. A big thanks goes out to those at the VGH that made his last days as comfortable as can be. For all of you who made the efforts over the years to assist in Terry’s long battle with his health, we thank you. Terry is joining his son, Jason, father, Herman and mother, Hillive in the gates to Heaven. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Please join us for a true celebration of life at McCall Bros Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept 1st. Reception to follow at Victoria Golf Club.

To Lisa Justin Timmy and Tanis my heart goes out to you all, in this time of sorrow. Your dad was a great person I will always remember all the good times we had together at the dungeon, playing lambzee and eating Vicki’s homemade cookie. Miss you “Q”…..Dennis and Vicki

We extend our deep sorrow on the loss of your Father.
Tim and Tanis: Gerry and I just learned of your father’s passing. We only met him a couple of times but we will always remember him as being quite a character. My father (Lloyd) enjoyed his times with your father and always had a story to tell about their visits together. Lloyd often talked about the time your father picked him up at this house in a limo – he was so impressed. Our thoughts are with you and your family – sincerely, Lois and Gerry Gass
My dear Tim and Tanis – much love to you and deeply sorry to hear of Q’s pass.

I was saddened to hear of Terry’s passing. Terry was a great friend of my late Father, Verne Evans, and in my youth one of those “larger than life” people who knew everyone and everything and always had great advice on all things from the art of making a deal to how to get a kitchen installed. These skills may seem of less significance in the “press-a-button, hopefully solve a problem” world of today but I think a lot of folks would stand in much better stead if they had had the opportunity to receive a few lessons from “the Q’s” school of common sense…best dished out in the Cherry Bank Lounge.
Terry and his kindness will be missed.
Our condolences to all of Terry’s family.

Can hardly believe it… Sue, Tim ,Tannis, all family, so sorry to hear, wish I had know he was so ill and so close. We shared a lot of fun times and happy memories. Will miss him so much as you know.
Words cannot express the loss we feel for “Q’s” passing. Our world will be a much less colorful place without him. His laughter, his wit and his wicked sense of humor are surpassed by none. There was never a dull moment around Terry. So many good memories and stories. He has left a huge hole in our hearts.
Tim, Justin, Tanis and Lisa please accept our most heartfelt condolences for the loss of your Dad, he will be sorely missed.
I’d just like to say to Terry’s children how proud Terry was of you “kids”. We have all listened to him bark at you guys when he was putting on a show for whomever was in the room at the time, but anyone that knew the “Q”, knew it was all just a show.
Take comfort knowing that his love for you was unconditional, and obvious to anyone who knew your Dad.
We’ll all miss him.
Patrick
