  1. Dear Tanis, Tim, Lisa and Justin – your Dad was an original and we enjoyed his company as a friend and neighbor. I will always remember the hot summer afternoons – while we were enjoying tanning and swimming down on the dock – Terry was in his robe, smoking a cigar and preparing a turkey dinner for all of us. I hope you will find comfort among your family and many friends. Take good care, hope to see you soon.

I knew your dad since about the late seventies and became close friends with him and had many good times but with some of those times punctuated with short periods of minor terror, which in the end only added to the fun.
It has been days now since his demise and how I miss him.
    Love to you all.

Terry, your touches are everywhere, from the drink covered with a coaster at Daniel’s while you left to take care of business, to detailing and selling cars and trucks for us – you were always there for us. Your friendship was beyond compare and you will be forever missed. Our heartfelt love goes out to all family and friends.

  5. Lisa, Justin, (Tim and Tannis- who I’ve yet to meet) so sorry for your loss. Although, as you are aware, i’ve known Terry since the ’60s, it had been about thirty years ’til we hooked up again in ’06 when i stayed with him for a few days in Bellevue. I remember him when I was a kid proclaiming ” I’m a Businessman!” followed by the deep throaty bewildering chuckle. He said it again in ”06! He may have been old school, but he made it work. He was truly a larger than life character, that I will never forget.

We sat in his office one night reminiscing and having a few laughs. It was here that i saw another side. He expressed a genuine love and caring for all of you.

    He will be missed,

    Mike “Alberta” Smith

  9. Heartfelt wishes go to the Quocksister family from a former teacher of Tim and Tanis. I normally do not read obits but the Quocksister name reminds me of a couple of neat and interesting students I have taught which spawned, no doubt, from a cool DAD. Wishing the family the best and I hope you celebrate his life as you mourn your loss.
