Dear Mike and family:
We are thinking of you in this very sad time. We will hold in our hearts all the wonderful memories we have of Vivi.
So very sorry to learn of Vivi’s passing. She was half of the dynamic duo who were such good neighbours to my mother who left us a few years ago. She was a positive influence in her community as was a favourite aunt of mine who also came from Denmark, raising a family on Prince Edward Island.
Sincere condolences to Mike.
Dear Mike.
I was saddened to learn of Vivi’s passing in this morning’s newspaper. I had the pleasure of meeting her on a number of occasions, usually related to events associated with the Canadian Scottish. She was such a lovely and gracious person and I remember that she had a quiet and radiant presence.
Please accept my condolences at this time of enormous loss.
Warm regards,
Pamela Madoff
Dear Peter and Fraser and Pia
We did not know your mother and Mormor well or for long. Hearing how glowingly you speak of her tells us what a fine person, mother, and grandmother she was to you. I will always remember her warm smile and the pride and love evident in her eyes when she looked at you. We know you will cherish your memories of Vivi and feel her ongoing love for you.
Mike, our sincere condolences on the loss of Vivi. Your love for her was obvious in your care for her during her life.

Mike & family, we are so sorry for your loss. Please accept our sincere condolences. Vivi will be greatly missed by all members of The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) Women’s Auxiliary…
Mike and family,
John and I are saddened to hear of Vivi’s passing and our hearts go out to you all. We didn’t know Vivi well but I have fond memories of our Highschool days at Victoria High School. Vivi was a senior and I was a junior. She won the Miss Victoria pagent at that time and I was absolutely in awe of her. As far as I was concerned she was the prettiest girl in Vic High and really deserved the title of Miss Victoria. She looked so beautiful atop the float with her princesses in the Victoria Day parade. Little did I know then that she would one day be related to my sister who also adores her.
May memories hold you strong and help you all at this difficult time.

I seems impossible that the light of a vibrant, beautiful, generous & loving woman who has had a special place in my heart for 40 years has gone out. Vivi knew she was always my touchstone, coming into my life at a time I so needed her. We were meant to be life long friends. I just never imagined she would be taken from us so soon. Her ability to make everyone she met feel like they were the most important person in the room & her true interest in knowing everything about them was unique. Her smile and more importantly her laugh could fill the world with happiness -I am so thrilled that Pia has inherited that laugh & it will live on. Michael, she felt so protected by you. Peter and Pia she was so very proud of both of you and each of her 4 grandchildren were the sparkle in her eyes. She was loved by so many. Though my heart feels broken, I know it will mend and have memories to carry me on….because that is what Vivi would want.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I never had the honor of meeting Mrs. Vivi, but I am positive that she must have been an impeccable woman to have raised such a strong daughter. She was and is still a beautiful woman. Memories never die, because within memories are where our loved ones remain with us. I’m praying for your family in this tough time.
God bless,
Jessi Miller

Mike, Peter, Pia, Lone and families,
Our entire family was saddened to hear of Vivi’s passing. As a member of the Heppell family she always added that extra spark with her glowing and bubbly personality to any of our family dinners and events.
Mike and Vivi were more than just family to us, together they were great friends to my parents – whether it be on your travels together or special events around town. Cindy and I were honoured that Vivi was able to attend our wedding in 2011.
One of my special memories of Vivi was when she and Mom came to my new apartment downtown to give it some style – of which I didn’t have much and Vivi was overflowing with it.
Thanks Vivi, your vivaciousness always brightened our family gatherings and now Heaven is even that much brighter today.
Love Rob, Cindy, Haleigh and Noah Heppell
