  1. Deepest condolences to the family of this wonderful man.
One of my most favourite teachers of all time. I was blessed to have him as my grade 5 teacher at John Stubbs Elementary school. He along with Mr Spence introduced many of us to the wonderful world of music and theatre. He made each day at school a wonderful learning experience. A true and great teacher!

  2. Condolences to his family from me and mine <3 He was the best teacher in the world, grade 5-6 at Lakewood back around 2006. He will never be forgotten by all who he graced with his presence. I’m so lucky to have had him as a teacher, and still to this day I think about how much he influenced my growth.
    Xoxo

  3. How sad I am to hear of the loss of Mr. Waring. My Grade 6 class with him at Lakewood was truly the only year I look back on with only fond memories. So strange how just yesterday I was speaking about mentors with some of my brothers, and Mr. Waring came up immediately. He is one of the few men outside my family to have guided and encouraged me so meaningfully. I am sad I never got the opportunity to meet him again in my adult years, and thank him for the laughter, love and lessons. You are missed terribly. My heartfelt condolences and appreciation to his friends, colleagues and family. Thank you all for being part of a life that touched many more so deeply.

  4. It was with a heavy heart as I read of Ted’s passing. My condolences to the Waring family. I had the privilege of working with Ted at Saseenos Elementary where Ted was an exceptional teacher who always put the interests and welfare of his students first and foremost, He was simply a great “Guy” who will surely be missed!

  5. I just learned of Ted’s passing. I couldn’t be more shocked. Ted, you vibrant scallywag, talented in so many things, you have gone too soon. I am thinking of all of you Kathy and am so sorry for your loss.

  6. My deepest sympathies and condolences to Ted’s family. I’m very sorry for your loss.
I had the pleasure of working with Ted at John Stubbs. He was a true leader in showing how it’s done with Jagzone and his epic middle school spirit assemblies. The students loved getting picked for the VIP table where they got pizza and pop and a front row seat to watching all the fun. Ted set the bar high at Stubbs and created a legacy of communication with Jagzone. He was an amazing educator, colleague, and human being.

  7. Mr Waring taught both me and my brother at Lakewood elementary. He was a brilliant man who pushed his students to achieve their potential, even at a young age. I will never forget him.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

  8. Incredibly saddened to hear this and am extending sincere condolences to the Waring family. I got to know Ted in the early years of my career as a teacher in SD62. I was a substitute teacher in his class a few times and could tell how much his students loved and respected him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of colleagues and students who had the privilege of knowing him. So sorry for your loss.

  9. I’m so sorry for your loss Ted was one of those people who lit up the room and had such a great laugh. He will be missed. Our paths crossed both in teaching and he was the photographer for our Wedding in August 1998. His wit and sense of humour got us through our wedding day photos!
    Sending you healing vibes,
    Michelle and Heath Bevan

  10. One of the first teachers to believe in a new TOC. He showed me that relationships are the heart of education. Ted made a difference. He made me a better teacher. He will be missed but has made a lasting impact on so many.
