April 30 1940 – 18 Nov 2012
Born in Colliers,C.B. Nfld.
It is with extreme sadness and shock that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Trudy. She is survived by Frank (her husband of 52 years) son Rick, daughter Debbie (Jim) Shawcross, grandsons Andrew, Lucas and Noah. She leaves behind her siblings Elizabeth, Anne, Marion and Patrick of Newfoundland and many other family and friends across Canada. She was an active member of the square dance clubs Rocking Squares, Ferris Wheelers and Promenaders. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and taking her dog Holly for walks. She never had a bad word to say about any one. She had a great sense of humour and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was loved by everyone she knew. We will miss her dearly.
A service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace – Esquimalt, 851 Old Esquimalt Road, on Friday, November 23rd at 12:10 pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Dear Frank and family, Gord and I were saddened to hear of Trudy’s sudden passing. Trudy was a fun lady with a beautiful smile. She will be much missed by everyone who knew her. Nothing anyone can say or do can lessen your grief but we hope you know how much you are cared for. Prayers for your well being and peace are sent your way. Wendy and Gord Collins

Dear Frank & Family,
I’m so sorry about this tragedy, you are in my thoughts and prayers. As one of my best friends for more than 55 years, I am broken hearted. I know you must be devastated Frank. I’ll always remember the antics we got up to together at the Nurses Residence at the Waterford Hospital in St. John’s NL all those years ago. She was always ready for a bit of fun and her laugh was infectious. Thank you both for being the Godparents of my son Perry. I will miss you forever my dear friend. Amy sends her best wishes to you Frank.
Frank & Family,
We are so dreadfully sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Trudy.
Even though our acquaintance with Trudy has been very brief, her great spirit and fun-loving personality will be deeply missed.
Our deepest condolences to you.
