Tom was a wonderful, caring and selfless person. I was honored to call him my friend. We met in Rotary many years ago and shared the Rotary experience. I always looked up to Tom as a person who was truly above self. He was a kind, generous and genuine human being who always made a difference.

Tom was one of my favourite playing partners at Uplands Golf Club. He was funny and always ready to help our military veterans. In 2013 Tom helped me organize the very first golf camp for the Solder on Program. He was kind, generous and an inspiration to all of us.
On behalf of The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada Association (Toronto Branch) are deepest condolences to Irmgard and Family on the passing of a true Rifleman Tom Martin. Always enjoyed his company and was a great friend of the Association and the Regiment.

Dear Irmgard and Family,
Tom was one of the most generous men I have met. He was always ready to give of his time and effort to help others.
He has also served as a very brave and dedicated soldier when we served together in Cyprus many years ago.
Rest in Peace Tom. You have earned it.
My sympathies to Tom’s family and friends. Tom welcomed me into the Vancouver Island Queen’s Own family when I moved to the Island to care for my sister. He has left his mark on all those who knew and served with him, and he will not be forgotten as long as we have our memories.
Requiescat in pace, Tom. In Pace Paratus
